He came.

June 12, 2012

-written by Joshua and Ivan before leaving for their Sabah trip 😉

Words can’t expressed how excited / freaked out / anxious / totally freaking out i was, as the day of his arrival came closer.

Though we have been together for nearly 4 years, it still pretty much felt like the first date all over again – the outfit, the hair, the breath, the skin.. All has to be PERFECT!

In fact, I even went on a strict diet and exercise regime, just to look my best for that Someone who had not seen me in person for SIX months. 😉

Oh yeah, I did reached my best weight of all time, and even had toned abs, BUT VERY QUICKLY I GAINED THEM ALL BACK WITH ALL THE PIGGING OUT WE HAD! #firstworldproblems

.

we just ate, and ate, and ate, and did more eatingggggggggg @_@

Ok there’s a lot more food but i’m getting tired of editing food pictures while salivating and feeling hungry. Such a torture especially when I’m on a oat diet now @___@ (or maybe i should just screw that bowl of oat and have some cheezels?????)

.

The great thing about having Alex around is that, he blends in with my family. Though he found it extremely difficult to accept the crazy hot weather in Malaysia, as it was actually winter in NZ, and he can’t really take Malay spices, he never complained and just went with the flow 🙂

With the family, we went to a few places, watched a few movies, and MY DAD EVEN GOT ALEX AND I TO ORGANISE AN ENGLISH EXPLORE RACE FOR HIS STUDENTS! (Dad said cannot let the opportunity of exposing his students to a native-speaking accent slip away LMAO)

The Explorerace went quite well in my opinion, and students even came up to Alex, wanting a picture with him… cis cis cis.. kids nowadays.. lol

Here are some drawings from the pit stop of ‘Listen and Draw’… the most effective and fun game of that day 😉

there were definitely LOTS of laughter during that game.

.

As I mentioned, we went to a few places too. From mangrove sanctuary, to air-c0nditioned havens aka malls, to venue hunting in Penang~

took vain shots

a lot of them…lol

Happy times fly, mercilessly.

Very soon, it was time for the dreaded farewell again T____T

For our last meal before the next reunion, we decided to try Go Gung at The Gardens after reading favourable reviews online..

Truly, it did not disappoint 🙂

the staff carefully grilling our slices of prime rib eye ~ yums!

.

then.. he left.

This time around,

there were no tears.

I promised him, and my family,

there will be no tears,

and I kept to it.

Coz i know,

It is just one farewell lesser,

to the future we both envisioned to be.

aaaah it never gets easier, saying goodbyes. When Kevin leaves, I know I’ll be sad but happy at the same time, coz we’d be married by then hahahah

Congrats on the ring, it’s gorgeous!
